Accomodations
Currently we have two student residences available for students who request them. Below is a brief description of the flats. Please see the photos posted below.
One residence is located in the Doqqi district of Cairo, which is on the Giza side of the Nile, between downtown and the Pyramids. Doqqi is a middle-class area, home to a host of restaurants offering various cuisines from Sudanese to Yemeni, cafes, cinemas and embassies. It also offers a slew of Middle Eastern-style markets and shopping. Living in Doqqi allows the student a true experience of the diversity of Cairo. Our flat is a 5 minute walk to the Doqqi metro stop.
The flat itself consists of three-bedrooms, each with two beds, a kitchen with modern appliances, a large, full bathroom, and a spacious living area. There is a TV with satellite reception in the living area. The flat enjoys beautiful sunlight during the day. …
Our second residence is located in the Mohandseen district of Cairo, just north of Doqqi, also on the Giza side of the Nile. A bit quieter than Doqqi, and certainly more so than downtown, Mohandseen is an upper-scale neighborhood, home to more western-style cafes, such as Costa Coffee, Starbucks and Cilantro as well as restaurants such as Mori Sushi and Chilis. There are also plenty of restaurants serving various cuisines such as Lebanese or Indian. It’s main strip, Gameat il-Dowal il-Arabia (Arab League Street) cuts through Mohandseen, lined with shops, clubs and restaurants.
