Mission

Arabeya Language School was established in 2003 with the purpose of providing intensive Arabic courses for all levels of Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic (ECA).  Our philosophy is expressed in our commitment to, and emphasis of, small groups- the smaller the number of students, the more attention each student receives.  This pedagogical belief is one in which we believe strongly and which we express in our  programs.  Though one- or two- student classes are ideal, we nevertheless encourage groups of no more than four students.  This classroom situation benefits the quality of education from two sides: the student participates more in the reading, writing, speaking, and listening aspects of language and the educator becomes better able to identify the student’s strengths and liabilities so that he or she can construct lessons effectively and productively.

Teachers

All of our educators are native Arabic speakers with degrees from prestigious universities in Egypt, including Al Azhar University.  Our instructors have up to 15 years experience in Arabic instruction and some are MSA Specialists.  All of our teachers speak English and several are conversant in other languages in addition.

Location

Arabeya currently consists of three branches, two of which are located in downtown Cairo and the other in the Mohandseen district of Cairo.  Cairo’s downtown is famous for its hustle and bustle, but also for its reputation as the epicenter of culture in Cairo.  Known as ‘wust il- balad’ to Cairenes, this part of Cairo really lives up to its name, which may be translated as “the center of the country”.   Our two downtown branches, which are located three or four blocks from one another, sit among countless restaurants, cafés and cultural activities in the city.  The Mohandseen branch, a mere taxi ride away from downtown Cairo, enjoys a bit more tranquility than the other two branches.  Still in the neighborhood of Egyptian café and restaurant culture, this branch is for the student who prefers to avoid the hectic nature of downtown Cairo.

Affiliates

Arabeya has a history of relationships with Universities, Colleges and other Institutions in the United States, such as New York University, and in Europe, which it seeks to continue.  We invite the cooperation of any institutions of higher learning, public or private schools, NGOs, corporations, diplomatic, media and government agencies, or any other entity working in the field of foreign language education.

Likewise, we are looking to expand our current network of representatives and business partners in order that me may further develop our teaching services internationally.

If you are interested in participating in our mission, or in marketing our services in your area, we would love to hear from you.

Please send us your resume, detailing your qualifications and history, along with your marketing proposal.  We will then arrange for a company representative to contact you.
